What is Coosa Nautical Series and how is it used?

The Coosa Nautical Series is a line of lightweight, closed-cell polyurethane foam panels reinforced with fiberglass. These panels are engineered as economical core material solutions for a wide range of marine, RV, and industrial applications where water resistance, dimensional stability, and weight savings are essential.

Compared to the Bluewater Series, Nautical panels offer reduced weight and slightly lower mechanical strength, making them ideal for semi-structural or non-structural components. They are often used in:

  • Bulkheads
  • Cabinetry and interior panels
  • Hatch lids and deck furniture
  • Marine stringers and wall panels

Available in densities of 15, 20, and 24 lb/ft³, Coosa Nautical panels resist rot, mildew, and water absorption while remaining compatible with epoxy, polyester, and vinylester resins. They're a preferred option when reducing weight is a priority without sacrificing long-term durability in wet environments.
