Choose the right backing pad for sanding discs and sheets across marine repair, surfboard building, composites, and auto finishing. We stock PSA (peel-and-stick) and hook-and-loop (Velcro) pads in 5", 6", and 8" sizes, plus interface pads and quick-change Roloc holders.

Which pad density should I use?

Use hard for flat leveling and aggressive stock removal. Use medium for curved areas and fairing. Add a soft interface for ultra-fine finishing.

PSA vs Hook & Loop?

PSA sticks firmly for heavy cutting; Hook & Loop makes quick grit changes and pairs well with interface pads for finishing.

What sizes match which discs?

Use 5", 6", or 8" pads with the same-size discs. For color sanding and polishing prep, 5" or 6" H&L with an interface pad gives the smoothest finish.
