Patchaid® 970X900 – Gelcoat Spray Patch Additive

Patchaid 970X900 is a professional-grade additive formulated to improve the performance of gelcoat during spray patch applications. By blending Patchaid with gelcoat, you can achieve smoother atomization, reduced orange peel, faster cure times, and less surface tack—resulting in easier sanding and a high-quality finish.

Key Benefits

  • Reduces gelcoat viscosity for smoother spray application
  • Accelerates cure and minimizes surface tack for quicker finishing
  • Contains wax and UV stabilizers to improve repair weathering and color match
  • Ideal for marine, automotive, and industrial gelcoat touch-ups
  • Requires MEKP catalyst

Recommended Use

Blend at approximately 70% gelcoat / 30% Patchaid 970X900 by volume, then catalyze with MEKP at 1.5–2.5% (2% at 77°F is typical). Apply using a conventional touch-up spray gun (25–50 psi). Ready to sand in as little as 45–60 minutes under proper conditions.
