Recommended Uses

Application Methods

Brush/Roll

• Use the appropriate Awlgrip converter and reducer for brushing/rolling (per the current TDS).

Spray

• Use the specified Awlgrip spray converter and reducer (per the current TDS) and proper gun setup.
• Apply medium-wet coats with appropriate flash times for a high DOI finish.

Surface Prep & Priming

For best adhesion and long-term performance, sand and solvent-wipe per the TDS and apply over a compatible epoxy primer such as Awlgrip 545. Always follow Awlgrip technical data sheets for substrate prep, mixing, induction (if specified), and recoat windows.

Coverage & Film Build

• Theoretical coverage: Refer to the current Awlgrip TDS (actual coverage varies with application method, film thickness, and spray/brush losses).
• Plan extra material for complex geometry, masking edges, and environmental losses.

Cleanliness & Conditions

• Use lint-free rollers/brushes, clean air, and filtered reducers for a defect-free finish.
